Account data — name, email, phone number, and default currency you provide at registration.
Bill data — bill titles, amounts, participants, QR/bank info you choose to save, and payment status you record.
Device data — device name (if you provide it at login), IP address, and basic browser/OS metadata for security and abuse prevention.

2. How we use it

To operate MeowPay — create, share, and settle bills.
To send transactional email (welcome, password reset, password changed). We do not send marketing email without consent.
To keep your account secure — detect suspicious activity and enforce rate limits.

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers required to run MeowPay (hosting, email delivery, analytics), and only to the minimum extent necessary. We will disclose information if required by law.

4. Security

Passwords are stored hashed with bcrypt. Traffic is served over HTTPS. We keep application-layer logs and database backups for a limited retention window for troubleshooting and disaster recovery.
